Three things: water, trees and stone... They provide such sweet energy. There's something about the feel of stone, the coolness, the comfort. Water draws you, trees shelter and oh, the greens!
The inspiration for my handcrafted jewelry designs comes from our natural surroundings along the Suwannee River of North Florida. Look for natural stone and Earth's metals...on the simple side, and always connecting the wearer to nature.
Four main techniques are used, handknotting beads on silk, the use of chain and wire to create designs, wirewrapping cabochons, and the handworking of metals.
The pieces shown on this website are just a sampling of the many unique designs I have created. To see my complete collection, you will need to find me at a local art or community festival, or demonstrating my techniques at the craft village at Stephen Foster State Park where I appear a couple of Saturdays a month.
